Disaster Preparedness

Bangladesh is vulnerable to many types of natural disaster, in particular, cyclone, storm surges and floods. More recently earthquakes have been experienced in part of Bangladesh. BISAP Disaster Preparedness program educates and trains local government bodies and community people in susceptible districts to make effective preparations for natural disaster to minimize the affect on the livelihood of vulnerable households. BISAP is also active in providing relief and rehabilitation assistance disaster situations occur.
